Be the Gift

The Earth is a beautiful place, but our world can at times be cold and cruel. During this holiday season and all year-long be the gift that keeps on giving. Be the one who smiles at a stranger. Maybe that smile is perfect timing to an otherwise horrible day. What about that person in a wheelchair or scooter that is staring at the top shelf in the grocery store wondering how they will be able to reach. Can you be the helping hand even if you feel too busy?

Take someone under your wing and help them to soar. I remember once when I had started a new job and was struggling to learn and keep up, and feeling that every day was pure hell. If someone would have taken me under their wing and helped me along I’m sure I would have succeeded. Think about taking someone under your wing at work and helping them to learn the ropes. Better yet, we should teach our children to do this at school. Being a friend to the child everyone picks on, or helping the new kid find their way. Wow, loving children, no more bullies.

Be the one who says to the child, “I’m proud of you.” Doesn’t matter if you are the parent, teacher, or just the neighbor, let them know when they’ve done well. Give encouragement and praise helping them along the path so they believe they can. Let them know you have their back and care. This kind of compassion will sustain them when future dark days descend, and you know they will. A child with a box of coping tools will get through because they’ll know they’re loved and matter in this world.

Happy Holidays to you wonderful Beings, and here’s my wish for all of you:

“If I could give you any gift, I’d give you LOVE and LAUGHTER, a PEACEFUL HEART, a SPECIAL DREAM, and JOY FOREVER AFTER.”  ~ Unknown

The Breeze

The breeze enters where you stand, gently lifting up the curtains like a tiny ghost at hand. Its power is more fragile than bold, and yet, it’s able to slay angry demons with a big bad sword. And almost like a tender hug, your sadness and despair aren’t hanging around anymore.

What you take from it is up to you for the breeze makes no promises for a better life, but leaves many possibilities lingering behind.

Listen closely to the soft whispering as it drifts away, leaving you stronger and calmer to face another day.

Be the Who Inside of You

Be the who inside of you and don’t fear what you might say. Life will only work for you if you can learn to accept yourself all the way.

Don’t care if people don’t like who you are because it usually just means you haven’t met the right people in life so far. Of course, this is all if, and only if, the who that you are is loving and kind toward everyone in sight.

Maybe you’re a little bit socially awkward and you think people find you a bit strange. I’ll let you in on a little secret, we’re all awkward and strange in our own way. Take a deep breath and take the focus off of you and put it on someone nice and new. The people who deserve your friendship will come your way if you stay true to yourself in every way.

Take your shoes off and run along the shore with negative thoughts flying right out the door. Let the sea air lift you up making you feel free, and ready to accept this beautiful who that rests inside of you.

“As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live.”

~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

What Would You Do Differently?

What would you do differently If you decided to enjoy your life today?

What would you do differently if you stopped struggling and let life be easier?

What would you do differently if you gave up sacrifice today?

What would you do differently if you stopped putting off your life?   ~ Robert Holden

How would you answer these questions? Hey, friends, what the hell have you been doing lately with your life? Stop the nonsense and get onboard because it’s never too late to set sail for the great unknown.

Don’t put off living your life–live to the fullest. Flow with the good and the bad kicking off your shoes and dancing with the band.

Life is here for such a short time so dig your toes in the wet, wet, sand and let the ocean wash away all the things you just can’t stand.

The time is now, so start living.

Feel the Beat

Feel the beat of your life as you live every day. Be in rhythm with the twists and turns you experience on your journey, and never be out of step with the who you are inside your soul. You don’t need arms or legs to follow the beat, you just need to go deep.

Life can send you zingers that threaten to knock you off-balance, but if you have a strong connection to the who you are everything negative will bounce right off of you hardly leaving a mark. But if you are lost and feel no beat every bad thing that comes your way will leave an indelible mark on your soul.

What a shame if you decide to sit this one out and ignore the rhythm that is your life because once your life is gone the beat too will stop and forever be no more. Your life should be lived not ignored, so get up and dance and feel your life force.

Be in rhythm with your life, don’t pull the covers over your head and hide because life is going to happen whether you’re in the dance or not, so you might as well join in and be a part of it. This life you’ve been given is a gift and should be celebrated. Look around and see the beauty–it’s there, just open your eyes it’s all around you!

Don’t fight with your life, just let yourself feel the beat and sway with the rhythm that’s flowing through you becoming one with the  Spirit that is truly you.

“If you think something is missing in your life,
it is probably you!”  ~ Robert Holden
