Live by Your Spirit

This week's present moment reminder.

When you live by your ego you are always in a battle to be right, and how tiring and miserable that must be. Try living by your Spirit and see how happy you can be.

Life doesn’t have to be a struggle of who is right and who is wrong. Let go of having to be the winner and enjoy the simple pleasure of just being.

Moving On

Go on and just let go. Sweep out all those old resentments, disappointments, sadness, hurts of all kinds, and confusions galore. White knuckle flyer why are you holding on to all of them so tight? You know what? It’s simply a bore!

Even though it seems like you do, you really don’t have an infinite amount of time to live on this planet, so why spend it all bound up with negativity leaking in from every door? Remember, you have the power to change the direction you are heading for.

Moving on and letting go can be hard because you know all too well the misery you have been living with, and you don’t really know what’s behind that other door. Be brave and go for it. Close the door to what you know and take a chance on something so much more. You’ll be happy that you did because this will be the beginning of living your life with joy right up to the end.

Life is so good when you jump right in!

The Breeze

The breeze enters where you stand, gently lifting up the curtains like a tiny ghost at hand. Its power is more fragile than bold, and yet, it’s able to slay angry demons with a big bad sword. And almost like a tender hug, your sadness and despair aren’t hanging around anymore.

What you take from it is up to you for the breeze makes no promises for a better life, but leaves many possibilities lingering behind.

Listen closely to the soft whispering as it drifts away, leaving you stronger and calmer to face another day.

Are You Happy Being Miserable?

Some people seem to be, but are you? Do you dump on others–especially your parents for all your bad decisions? Do you keep yourself living a life of despair because it’s what you know and just easier? Stop being a drama queen or king, and certainly stop with the me, me, me, attitude. No one is really happy being miserable and that’s why it’s time to change how you’re living your life.

Stand up and take responsibility for all the awful choices you have made. We all make them, but the person that wants to live in harmony accepts them and moves on. Why are you still blaming your parents for what you think is the truth? Do you really believe that they favored your sibling over you? Unless you were abused, lived with alcoholics or drug users, get over it and move on–you are an adult now, aren’t you? The person who really wants to find the joy in life lives in the present. You are really a lost puppy if you are still living in the past.

Start looking at what you can do to make the changes needed in your life to be a balanced and happy person. You owe it to yourself not to live a life of misery. Try gratitude on for size, it’s guaranteed to grow your soul. And don’t forget loving something besides yourself.

Don’t let the rip tides pull you under. Learn to flow with the ocean currents of life.

Don’t Shovel it Back

When people throw their negative energy your way, it’s natural to want to shovel it right back in their face, but don’t. Step back if you have to and learn to be silent instead.

Saying nothing doesn’t mean that you have let these negative leeches have their way, oh no, quite the opposite I would say. People who love to put their negative energy right out there for all to see, and especially want to hook on to you, are so locked up in their own head that anything you say will only make the situation much worse. These people have made a career out of being miserable and want you to be just as miserable. That’s why being silent or even walking away is best.

No one really sees how they are acting and that goes double for the negative vampires. Try your best to stay away from them, and certainly don’t invite them to be your friend. But if staying away is impossible because they are at work, your neighbor, or even in your family, just take a deep breath and mentally go far away to even a different land if you can!

You can’t do anything about the negativity in others, but you can in yourself. Be grateful for who you are and what you have, and always look on the bright side of things. You feel good when you surround yourself with positive energy and life becomes so sweet. If nourished, positive energy will always win, and you can walk right by those negative souls and not feel a thing.

Enjoy Every Minute

Enjoy every minute of your life no matter how challenging at times it can be. Hey, you’re alive, you’re here, and it doesn’t get any better than that.

Some lives are so short you wonder how that can be, and what was the point indeed. But have you ever noticed that those short lives were the most profound? It’s as if the precious being just starting out in life, and the beautiful soul in the prime of their life were sent here on some very important mission. Maybe the mission was about loving each other and cherishing life.

This sounds so simple, but do we really do it? Not always. Once in a while something gets our attention and we think about enjoying our lives, but soon we are right back in our old ways. Too many lives get caught up dealing with unhappiness, stress and pettiness. What a shame.

It’s time to wake up no matter what your age and pledge to enjoy what “IS” in your life. Be grateful for your life no matter what you’re going through at this very moment. life is in constant change and so your life will be too. Today’s misery will turn into tomorrow’s joy and continue on like the tide until you die.

The important thing to remember is to flow with your life always being mindful and enjoying every minute that you have. Don’t forget, you are in control of your life.

Smile

The simple act of smiling puts you and everyone else at ease. A smile is full of warmth and is contagious too. Why go around with a frown upon your face showing the world all you detest and just don’t want to face? Why let yourself feel so much misery when a simple smile will just erase?

When you put a smile on your face you are telling yourself that no matter what you have to face that no amount of negativity will invade your space. Your whole body will come to attention of that little smile and will work and feel so much better. You will also start to notice all the beauty and goodness that surrounds you, and life will become a bit easier.

When you put a smile on your face your fear disappears, and you feel confident and sincere. Worry disappears too because how on earth can you worry with that glow you have on your face? And anger? Oh, hell, who has time for that when a smile makes you feel so swell.

Smiling draws others to you because they feel protected and accepted in your presence. There’s nothing like knowing and actually seeing how your smile can make everyone around you–even strangers, feel so much better.

I know there will be days where you don’t want to smile at all but believe me, those will be the days you need to smile the most. Just try it and see how much better you will be. So get that frown off your face and even though it might not make the world a safer, happier, or better place, it sure will improve your outlook on life and everyone else who comes into sight.
