Healing

“The soul always knows what to do to heal itself. The challenge is to silence the mind.” ~ Caroline Myss

December is a time for healing. A time to put down the swords of chaos, lies, and violence. A time to show ego the door and let our Spirits soar. A time for love to flow and hate to be no more.

“She stood in the storm, and when the wind did not blow her away, she adjusted her sails.” ~ Elizabeth Edwards

It’s Time

Renewal

Yes, it’s time for Peace.

“When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know Peace.” ~ Jimi Hendrix

But peace won’t come until real Change starts to happen, and we can actually feel and see it taking shape.

“You have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”
~ Harriet Tubman

Something will still be missing for peace to come and that is Healing.

“There is force in the universe, which if we permit it, will flow through us and produce miraculous results.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi

This force is the Healing we and our planet so need before peace will come.

Change, Healing, Peace. This will be hard for some because it’s a different way of thinking and living.

Start by emptying all the misinformation stuck in the brain that has been passed on from generation to generation. Look at life with a new perspective. Practice forgiveness, acceptance and humility. Open the door and let love in to banish hate for good. And get rid of fear. Many times when we don’t understand something or someone we fear it and pass on negative judgments.

Just like the picture of the flowering strawberries above, we too are ready for renewal that will lead us to Peace. So let’s begin.

Get Over It

“Whatever we can’t love or accept in another, is a mirror of something we can’t love or accept in ourselves.”
~ Brenda Shoshanna

It’s 2020 and some of us still have trouble getting along and accepting one another no matter what color our skin or what religion we happen to be. Really? It’s getting exhausting don’t you think? It’s not rocket science that we humans all have a right to be on planet Earth, along with all the other beings.

We humans are supposed to be the guardians of our planet, but how are we supposed to do that if we can’t even care for one another? There is no superior race; we are the human race, simple as that. There is no right or superior religion. Everyone should believe, or not believe whatever they want. No one has all the right answers, or for that matter, any answers. In truth, we are all just trying to figure it out.

Whatever pompous reason some think they have to hate and not trust, or causes some to feel they are better, just stop it. I say, try opening your arms and be accepting for all our beautiful differences. Diversity rocks, and we need one another to survive.

“We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.”
~ Dr. Seuss

If this is what it takes, then let’s all be a little weird, and get over it and live in peace.

Keep Evil at Bay

bird

“All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing.” ~ Edmund Burke

Evil lurks deep into the crevices of all societies. The world has always had people who do evil. These people are very clever in recruiting others to join their missions and cults. Evil can wear many faces and appear innocent at first. Don’t allow yourself to get mislead and end up in a hideous plan. Check your thinking.

Don’t fear those that seem different, or fear what you don’t understand. Educate yourself, and become enlightened. Don’t get caught up blaming and hating others for how your life has turned out. Do something positive with your life. Get out of your head, and learn to think outside the box.

Draw on the love that is deep inside. It’s there; we all have it. Listen to your Spirit. Accept all beings. All of us have a right to be.

“No human race is superior; no religious faith is inferior. All collective judgments are wrong. Only racists make them.”

~ Elie Wiesel

It is vitally important that we all check our thinking. Collective negative thinking can make for a dangerous world. We don’t want to repeat our past mistakes, or start up new ones.

“With our thoughts we make the world.” ~ Buddha

The world we live in can become so much more and we have the power to make it so. All it takes is kindness and love.

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” ~ Anne Frank

Stay positive. Choose love over hate. Be there for your family, friends and neighbors. Maybe, just maybe, if we all do this we can protect our beautiful blue planet and keep evil at bay.

“Know mankind well, don’t degrade every man as evil, and don’t exalt every man thinking he is good. He who cannot discover himself cannot discover the world.” ~ Rumi

Use your power.

Deadly Companions

IMG_0707

Sometimes we fear the things we don’t understand.

And, we start to hate the things we fear.

Then greed walks in and grabs everything in sight.

When we fear something that maybe we shouldn’t, it means we need to educate ourselves about it. Learning why we feel the fear toward something or even someone might not make us agree and like it, but it will give us the information we need to open our minds and perhaps our hearts and try to see and comprehend what we feel in a different light. We can knock out fear by facing it and learning everything about it.

Hate is never the answer to anything. It’s just the lazy way to put a bandage on anything we don’t want to face and certainly try to understand. Hate makes us do and become the worst and ugly part of ourselves. It’s the mind gone mad because the heart is in a coma.

When I think of greed I see a child stuffing his mouth so full that his cheeks are ready to burst. Greed is a weird thing. If you mix it with fear and hate it becomes a dangerous cocktail so destructive that it produces wars and genocide.

If we are to survive as a species, we must get rid of these deadly companions. We need to open our minds to new possibilities and ways of thinking. We can learn to replace these things with acceptance and maybe even love. We must endeavor to become more enlightened.

Warmth from the Heart

“One love, one heart, one destiny.”  ~ Bob Marley

Place your hand on your chest and feel your heart beating. Keep your hand there a minute and feel the warmth from your heart circling all around you. Such a glow certainly is bliss.

The warmth from your heart is love, kindness and acceptance and is meant to be shared with everyone no matter the color of their skin, religious beliefs, or not, and station in life. We humans are one and none of us is better than the other, or more deserving.

But, it isn’t just humans who deserve the warmth from the heart. All beings, all living things should receive the love and protection that we humans can and should give. We are the guardians of this planet and this beautiful place is depending on us to do the right things and protect it for generations to come.

We must stop spreading hate and destruction; they are poisoning the planet and its beings.

Put your hand on your chest and feel your heart speaking to you:  Hate will destroy us all. Love, kindness and acceptance are the solution.

“If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.”  ~ Mother Teresa

Truly Real

“If my heart could do the thinking, would my brain begin to feel?” ~ Van Morrison

I think sometimes we all make the mistake of thinking with our heads too much and not enough with our hearts. We analyze situations over and over until they don’t make sense anymore. We put too much energy in trying to figure out why someone did this or that to us, and we play the blame game constantly where there are never any winners.

If we could clear our minds and start thinking with our hearts can you imagine how wonderful and fresh the world would be? We wouldn’t be looking for problems to appear around every corner. We wouldn’t be in conflict with anyone, we would just be in bliss and flowing with life. Such balance would be ours for evermore.

This all sounds like a fairy tale. How could this be in a world so complicated that at times you just can’t see. Call me an optimist, but I believe with hard work and determination we can all change the way we think and feel. We can train our brains to use that compassion from our hearts and they can work together bringing us a peaceful, happy life, that is filled with love instead of fear and hate.

What is truly real? The darkness your mind is showing you, or the love you want to feel? What if you went with your heart this time instead of giving in to the conflict your head wants you to explore. Choose wisely my friend, for your happiness on this journey may very well depend.

Ignorance

Ignorance produces fear and fear produces hate. We fear what we don’t understand, and we become ignorant when we don’t take the time to educate ourselves so we can understand.

Stop letting ignorance drive you to hate because hate will ultimately destroy all of us and this beautiful place we call Earth.

“Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”

~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

Hate

“It feels better to love than to hate” ~ Stevie Wonder

It’s interesting how when you say the word “hate” how it leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. It’s such a strong in your face kind of word that you can actually feel pain when you say it, or it is said to you.

Hate and anger are best buddies. You can’t have one without the other, and they both seem to populate too often. Everywhere you look some human hates another human. And some of these haters even hate creatures that aren’t human. How can we ever hope to share and live in harmony on this planet if there is so much hatred?

When people hate they have fear inside. They fear what they don’t understand. And when they’re too lazy, or choose to be ignorant and don’t seek knowledge, they hate instead. I always thought as humans became part of the global society they would learn acceptance, but that doesn’t seem to always be true.

What’s happening to love? Is it becoming extinct like the polar bears? Maybe it never actually existed in the first place. Love might be some myth told to us when we were children to keep us feeling safe from a scary world.

Have you ever thought what would happen if everyone stopped all the hatred and started to love instead? Look at all the good we could accomplish on this planet if we put all that positive energy to work. Hate, being negative energy, is just plain wasteful.

Notice when you say the word “LOVE,” how smooth and sweet it sounds. I wish that I heard it more often.

“Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by love; this is the eternal rule.” ~ Buddha

Commitment

Commit yourself to the present and don’t be lured into the dark of yesterday. Living in the past makes no sense because everything that happened there has moved on and so should you. Commit to only living now and this way you will be ready for whatever the future has in store for you.

“If your present is full of your past, there is no room to think of your future.” ~ Al Anderson

Make a commitment to educate and nourish your body. You are the only one that knows what’s best for you so take great care with yourself. Don’t listen to what other beings have to say about you–define yourself and fly to new heights. Take your place in this world and know everyone is depending on you because you are here to do great things.

Stay away from fear, anger and greed because those three together and apart make a horrible cocktail indeed. Be committed to being kind not mean, and fill the air with love and drive hate out to sea. When you do these things you have already achieved a big reason why you are here.

While you are at it, how about doing your part in protecting this big blue planet. Commit to walking softly as you can realizing that everything in nature has a balancing act at hand. Disturb too much and you will certainly see everything on this planet tumbling down like a killing spree.

Don’t flush away this beautiful life you’ve been given; stand up and make some kind of commitment.

“If you deny yourself commitment, what can you do with your life?” ~ Harvey Fierstein
