You Are More

You, my friend, are more than you think you are. You are capable of doing so many things; wonderful things. The problem is you just don’t know who you really are.

Make this the year that you discover the amazing Being that is YOU. Dig deep inside, it’s there just waiting.

Be Present and Thrive

Live without regrets, expectations, or fears. Simply be in the Now.

Being an adult is hard sometimes. Life can get us down. So try living your life with the imagination of a child, always viewing life in wonderment. Just be Present.

Smile, and believe in possibilities; believe in You.

Hold on to Dreams

“Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.”

~ Louisa May Alcott

Our aspirations and dreams of what can be give us the energy and fight to get up in the morning. They are part of what drives us. Never give up on your dreams because they’re who you are and why you’re here.

Stay Strong.

What Are You Waiting For?

“Sometimes you have to stop thinking so much and just go where your heart takes you.”  ~ Unknown

“Do it now. The future is promised to no one.”  ~ Wayne Dyer

“Live the way your soul yearns to sing.”  ~ Melanie Werenczak

So, what are you waiting for? There’s no limousine coming to get you. No bus going your way. And hitchhiking will never get you where you want to go. It’s just you kid on your own. Only you can make it happen, but I know you can do it, and I think you do too.

What are you waiting for? Get going!

This Life of Yours

Your life is something special. It’s a gift really that you have been given and depending on your beliefs, the who, where, and how is up to you. But what I think we can all agree on is that this life of yours is a very precious thing. Your life is wondrous when you stop and think about all that had to happen for you to be here at all. So, what are you doing with this life of yours?

“Life is a gift. Never take it for granted.”  ~ Sasha Azevedo

Are you taking yours for granted? Are you treating it well? Oftentimes, we don’t treat our lives very well. We end up battered and bruised from the inside and out. Why do we treat ourselves so bad?

“There is a candle in your heart, ready to be kindled.
There is a void in your soul, ready to be filled.
You feel it, don’t you?” ~ Rumi

Stop what you’re doing and realize that this is your life and no one else’s. You are meant to care and protect this life of yours. You are also meant to live this life to the fullest.

With kindness and love, live this life of yours before the gift is taken away. Everything comes to an end, and nothing is for sure that you’ll ever have another chance. And, even if you did, how sad that you let this one go unlived.

“Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we’re here we should dance.”

Go For It

“Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far they can go.”  ~ T.S. Eliot

Don’t let anything in life get in the way of what you truly want. Keep those dreams and plans and simply go for it. Obstacles do appear from time to time and make our lives stressful, but you have to kick the barriers down and go for what you want.

“A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he be at peace with himself. What a man can be, he must be.” ~ Abraham Maslow

I know it’s hard sometimes, and life can sure get us down. But don’t be rolling up in a ball and hiding from all the hassles that keep raining down. Pick yourself up–I know you can, and then just do what you need to do and see how far you can go. In the long run, you’ll be happy that you did, and you just might surprise yourself at how far you’ll go.

Life is what you make it and it can become your friend, or foe, so why not just decide to make it your friend and flow.

“As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live.”

~  Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Lost

Are you feeling lost? Sometimes that just seems to happen, but don’t despair, you will soon get back on track somewhere. Become very still, silent, letting all thoughts cramming through your brain dissolve into nothingness. Let yourself bond with nature through a window, or find a door and move yourself right out.

In nature is where you’ll find your lost yearning little self. It’s hiding in the trees along the busy highway. It’s sleeping in the flowers, or being carried by that bumblebee. Hey, that squirrel over there scurrying along the leaves just found it! Hurry before he buries it deep beneath the earth.

You are somewhere floating in the streams, or lakes, and can even be found roaring in the ocean waves. Look up, and see your lost self in the sky just hanging out with the clouds so free.

I think that soon you will come to realize that you are never really lost. You are always somewhere simply waiting to connect. Still doubting? Then by all means go outside and you will see that you, my friend, are part of everything!

Always Stay Present

Veering away from the present–the actual NOW of your life can confuse you and bring much sorrow.

“To help you be more present in your life today, stop what you are doing once an hour and ask yourself ‘Where are my feet?’ ”

~ Robert Holden

It’s good to check once in a while and make sure you are not drifting away, but staying where you need to be.

“Most people treat the present moment as if it were an obstacle that they need to overcome. Since the present moment is life itself, it is an insane way to live.” ~ Eckhart Tolle

It’s so true, sometimes the present moment is not a pleasant place to be, but then again, it’s the only place you can be. Your past is gone and your future hasn’t arrived yet, so baby, you’re stuck with NOW.

“Wisdom is the power of maximizing the enjoyment of the present moment.” ~ Robert Holden

It’s wonderful when we finally realize that we are alive! Let’s embrace it all!

“Sometimes in life we become so focused on the finish line that we fail to enjoy the journey.” ~ Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Don’t ever put off living until you complete this or that because the day you penciled in to live may never come. Enjoy the ride–bumps and all as you travel along this thing called YOUR LIFE.

Your Life Is in Your Hands

“Suffering is necessary until you realize it is unnecessary.”
~ Eckhart Tolle

Take a stand today and realize that your life is simply and completely in your own hands. If you have been suffering over some situation in your life then you, and only you, have made that decision–the decision to suffer.

Suffering should not be part of your life’s journey because it’s negative energy and will get you nowhere. Walk away and leave the suffering behind and find the path that will lead you to your purpose. There is no magic in this and no one can do this for you. You were born with free will and only you have the power to make the necessary changes in your life.

Your life is in your hands, but the real question is, how will you handle this precious, fragile, life that you hold? Will you give it the chance to find its purpose, or will you weight it down and hold it hostage?

“The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud.”
~ Coco Chanel

Death

“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.” ~ From a headstone in Ireland

In living our busy crazy lives there is one thing that can bring it to a complete halt and that is the death of a loved one. It is also a time when we begin to think of our own mortality, and how we are living our day-to-day lives.

There is our birth, then our death, but in-between there is this life that we sometimes take for granted. We waste away years struggling for things that may or may not ever come our way. We waste time in worrying, regretting, and hold on to anger and the need to always be right.

In living in-between this birth and death, let’s really promise ourselves to live our lives deeply with passion, purpose and always laughter. This is a great way to honor our loved ones who have died.

Listen closely to the gentle whisper in your ear, “Live well, live strong, and most of all enjoy your life as it rolls along.”
