Have we become so lost that now we are comfortable believing in false gods?
Leaders that present themselves as gods but are nothing more than greedy monsters pretending to be what they’re not.
Have we become so fearful of losing what is not ours to have that we judge good or bad by the color of someone’s skin, or ancestry from other lands?
What will become of us if we continue down this path?
Will we turn on one another until there is no one left?
Martin Luther King Jr. had many words of wisdom. Perhaps this is the day we should listen and ponder.
We need to wake up before it’s too late and there is “No Us.“
“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” ~ Martin Luther King Jr.
Great post. We’d better “wake up” soon to reality or you are correct…there will be no us.

Thank you Elizabeth. I hope we all wake up very soon because I sure don’t like the way things are going in our country.

Great post Michele, it is indeed the silence that allows evil to breed. It is a fearful beast but our doing nothing emboldens it to spread. May your love give it no room to breathe and do so ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

Hi Mark, thank you. So true that silence allows evil to breed. All we have to do is look at past history and see how the evil fooled the people and how horrible it spread.

Words of wisdom and reality, Michele. The quote by Martin Luther was so profound.

Thank you Kamal. Martin Luther was a great human and what he was saying so long ago is critical today.

Hi Michele. Every single Republican senator in Congress is opposed to the voting rights bill that soon will be voted upon. They are beyond despicable.

Perfect word for them Neil, “Despicable.” It’s a mess isn’t it. I guess the people who voted these people in just don’t get it, but they will one day when all our rights are gone and we have a dictator running the show. So sad.

what I find weird is where people who are diametrically opposed to MLK using “parts” of his words to make their own points I have no idea how to get back to a cohesive whole, Michele, but I feel like it’s going to be a long slog up the mountain.

I agree, that is weird, but we’re living in a very weird time. I just don’t remember the U.S being this way, but during the Vietnam War things were also strange here. I hope between the pandemic and all the political mess we can as humans find a way to a more balanced life and come out of this smarter and wiser.

I Agree! No one has right to judge someone else.. We, as humans, are losing the connections and sensitivity.. everyone wants to prove himself right and other wrong, a culture of intolerance is emerging.

We have to find our way back to balance. But be so much better than we ever were before. Thank you Saima.
