Get Over It

“Whatever we can’t love or accept in another, is a mirror of something we can’t love or accept in ourselves.”
~ Brenda Shoshanna

It’s 2020 and some of us still have trouble getting along and accepting one another no matter what color our skin or what religion we happen to be. Really? It’s getting exhausting don’t you think? It’s not rocket science that we humans all have a right to be on planet Earth, along with all the other beings.

We humans are supposed to be the guardians of our planet, but how are we supposed to do that if we can’t even care for one another? There is no superior race; we are the human race, simple as that. There is no right or superior religion. Everyone should believe, or not believe whatever they want. No one has all the right answers, or for that matter, any answers. In truth, we are all just trying to figure it out.

Whatever pompous reason some think they have to hate and not trust, or causes some to feel they are better, just stop it. I say, try opening your arms and be accepting for all our beautiful differences. Diversity rocks, and we need one another to survive.

“We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.”
~ Dr. Seuss

If this is what it takes, then let’s all be a little weird, and get over it and live in peace.

I thought something like this pandemic would be able to bring us together, Michele, but even that is dividing us along the lines of race, class, lifestyle. I don’t know what it’s going to take to get back to peace. A good start will be getting the Cheetoh in Charge out of the WH. xox

  5. Michele I loved your post and every word of yours was true and why are we differentiating from millions of years which religion we belong to and race when we are just a body and each and everyone’s Soul is One. We are all love and compassion. Very nice.

    • You would think Kamal, that by now we would get it, but sadly some just don’t. What a beautiful world it would be if everyone realized like you have said, “We are all love and compassion.” Thank you for your sweet comments.

      • Yes our world is so beautiful and lovely but there are people who have not realised it’s beauty. We are all Love and kindness because God is Love and Love must Love. Welcome dear ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

  11. Hi Robins 🙂 Nice to meet you, and thank you for liking this post. It’s hard I know, but we can all be the change we want to see with one little step at a time.

Spot on post, Michele! I’ve never understood racism – well, I can understand the distrust and fear, the feelings of superiority, etc – but I just don’t see it. Everyone is valued and nobody has the right to be more valued than another, especially by something as ridiculous as skin tone. If we’re not judging others by that it’ll be something else – dislike for big noses, ginger hair, etc. Utterly stupid, dangerous and heartbreaking. Surely this current coronavirus crisis can teach all of us that there are bigger things in the world, that we all matter, that we all need to be as one. Totally agree – diversity rocks!

  13. I agree. You would think that this coronavirus would have taught us that there are real issues we are facing like living to see another day. I don’t know how or why racism started in the first place, but I have a feeling it came from fear and a feeling of superiority. Let’s hope with everything that’s been going on that things get better and we all come together as one. Thank you Caz xx
