Keep Evil at Bay

bird

“All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing.” ~ Edmund Burke

Evil lurks deep into the crevices of all societies. The world has always had people who do evil. These people are very clever in recruiting others to join their missions and cults. Evil can wear many faces and appear innocent at first. Don’t allow yourself to get mislead and end up in a hideous plan. Check your thinking.

Don’t fear those that seem different, or fear what you don’t understand. Educate yourself, and become enlightened. Don’t get caught up blaming and hating others for how your life has turned out. Do something positive with your life. Get out of your head, and learn to think outside the box.

Draw on the love that is deep inside. It’s there; we all have it. Listen to your Spirit. Accept all beings. All of us have a right to be.

“No human race is superior; no religious faith is inferior. All collective judgments are wrong. Only racists make them.”

~ Elie Wiesel

It is vitally important that we all check our thinking. Collective negative thinking can make for a dangerous world. We don’t want to repeat our past mistakes, or start up new ones.

“With our thoughts we make the world.” ~ Buddha

The world we live in can become so much more and we have the power to make it so. All it takes is kindness and love.

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” ~ Anne Frank

Stay positive. Choose love over hate. Be there for your family, friends and neighbors. Maybe, just maybe, if we all do this we can protect our beautiful blue planet and keep evil at bay.

“Know mankind well, don’t degrade every man as evil, and don’t exalt every man thinking he is good. He who cannot discover himself cannot discover the world.” ~ Rumi

Use your power.

You’re very welcome! I have my share of mistakes, but I face them head on right away! Weave all been through so much in our lives, some too early in life, some yet to come. One of the most important things we all can do is listen to each other’s hearts through written words. As we take those words and spend them in our thoughts as we continue in our own lives, Somewhere in the middle of all the meanings, and messages, is where we all long to be!…Loved, and accepted for the souls we each have been given.Thank you Michele for your kind words as well! Kindness can be contagious if given fairly, and honestly! You’re are a delight! ☀️ Have a wonderful week ahead! It has been an unusually mild winter here in Northern California. No need to mention your location, but I hope you can say the same about the weather where you are! 🌷😀

      • I agree that listening is one of the most important things we can do both in our writing and in being present with one another. I’m hoping that kindness will really become contagious and we all treat one another better. I’m in the Pacific Northwest and we too have had a very mild winter. Not sure if that’s been a good thing or not. We’ve had lots of rain but also need some snow days for good blueberry production and not to have too many summer bugs. As always, it’s been such a pleasure communicating with you 🙂

Hi Michele! Though the weather has been lovely, it is worrisome here because I live in the mountains, my home is in the center of a forest. We need the rain, and the snow to lower the level of fire danger when the high temperatures of summer arrive. And to keep our Lake at a normal water level. I hope life is treating you well! it’s hard to enjoy our life sometimes when so many people are struggling, and suffering!
You’re a delight! And thank you for always popping in on my blog! Bless your heart! Rest easy in your life, and grab all the love and smiles that you can! ☀️😀❤️

      • Where you live sounds so peaceful and beautiful. Hope you get the needed rain and that summer will be gentle on all of us.

Yes, a gentle summer on all of us! I really screwed up my younger years, so when I finally got my head on straight, I thought long and hard to get where I am today. It is very beautiful where I live. I live in a community where there is absolutely no crime! If you can believe that! I’m surrounded by amazing people, published writers, fireman, policeman, even one very loved and admired retired movie star, even a few who have lost their way in life ( who are loved as well) It just goes on and on, and it spreads across the world doesn’t it… the way we could actually all live together in a much more peaceful world!? It is no fantasy world here where I live, people don’t have the ability to completely shed human traits, but we all live here in this community for the same reason, for the peace and tranquility. Everyday of my life I never forget to think of the rest of the world like that one little boy, or that one little girl living in a war zone! Or the Beautiful Soul who lived the Beautiful Life now on their Deathbed. Life is about so much more than just ourselves, I believe that.(and I think that when idea is forgotten that’s where we go wrong?) I wish you comfort and warmth and joy and happiness and all the things that make your life a little easier for when struggles or heartache may occur! Have a beautiful day Michele! ☀️😀

  3. Great post Michele, we observe the world but dare not look within. That very last line in Rumi’s quote is a very incredible wisdom. Understanding our own hearts will lighten our path very well indeed 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋 🦘 🐬 🐳 🌺 🌹 🌈

    • That’s so true Mark. We humans do have a thing for observing the world but never looking inside our own soul. I think we would all be shocked if we did. I really liked that Rumi quote too. Gives us a lot to think about. Thank you 🙂

  4. An inspiring and profound read, Michele. As you have rightly said about evil but there is goodness and kindness that can keep evil at bay and we all with effort and strive can make our Mother World a better place to stay with humbleness and kindness.
