Sunshine doesn’t have to be something that is external from you, but instead, it can be internal and live deep down inside of you. It can be raining and gloomy, or snowing and cold, but because of the glow from your sunshine, you will be toasty and warm.
That little ray of sunshine chases away the blues when the ego tries to bring trouble into view. Sometimes you do have to dig very deep to grab your sunshine up from the heap, but it’s worth it when the road gets rough and tough up ahead.
Unlike the external sunshine, yours can never change or be taken away unless you deem it so. You and only you have the power to suffocate your sunshine by putting it in a box and never letting its warmth and shine come out.
Why would you ever harm your sunshine you might ask? Well, there’s just one thing: bitterness and sadness are the jailers that will do this task. Sometimes without you even realizing it ego can take control of your life and put your Spirit in a coma and drive your sunshine right out of sight. Don’t let this happen. Stay vigilant by practicing gratitude and mindfulness.
Feel good about the who you are, and give kindness out with a loving heart. Life can be hard sometimes as you never know what’s coming around the bend, but you must never let life beat you down to the end. Stay connected to your Spirit by doing good deeds, and venture out into nature to see all positive things.
“Those who bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves.” ~ James M. Barrie
