Redirect

“Be like melting snow–wash yourself of yourself.” ~ Rumi

Your negative feelings have nowhere to go. The negative feelings that you have are actually negative energy. This energy sits inside of you churning and festering until it finally erupts making you sick. Once this happens, it can be a long twisty road back to your life.

You can tell yourself to be happy, cheer up, get over it. But if you are going through a tough time, or you chronically suffer from negative feelings, maybe even leading to depression, you need something more. You need to redirect those negative feelings somewhere far away from you.

Negative energy is still energy and if it’s directed away from you and into something else you will be free of it. Once the energy is directed into something else, it no longer is negative, it’s just energy. And in this new place where it’s no longer negative it can become anything you want it to become.

But how do you redirect your negative feelings? You put them into something such as a creative endeavor. “Oh no!” you say you’re not creative? No worries. You could volunteer and help in schools, library, hospice. “Nope,” that’s not for you either? How about nature? A walk near a river, or on the beach, or around your neighborhood is a great place to dump the energy.  What about directing it into love and seeing it burst into positive energy? Loving another being can do wonders.

Try to visualize a big red stop sign, and it’s telling you to just stop letting your ego make you sick by hoarding all that negative energy. Now, visualize bending your head down and all the negative energy pouring out and disappearing. Poof! It’s gone, and now you have a fresh start to only let the positive energy come in.

Don’t ever let your feelings turn into negative energy. If your ego ushers it in, kick it in the butt and redirect it. You know that you have better things to do with your life.

“Just can’t live that negative way … make way for the positive day!” ~ Bob Marley

  1. Love it! Redirect negative feelings! Will definitely try this the next time I feel negative! Have a great day! 🙂

  2. yes, the levels of energy continuously change and this may usually be harmonious — when energy is out of balance this is either uncomfortable in the head or in the heart — or worse — both. Sometimes, I want to be only in the glorious wonder — like a nirvana — and this is of course not balance to the body or mind even at all. It is when the dark covers me that I cower from the fears and I want to lash out against anyone that may disturb me then. It is best therefore to greet the dawn as you say — before my feet hit the floor to send gratitude for all that is and ever was and ever will be and later in my morning meditation (similar to: http://hunt4truth.wordpress.com/2013/07/26/morning-meditation/) I may pronounce my intentions to be peaceful and serene and in balance — then before sleep — review the day and come into awareness if any error may be righted tomorrow and what then there is to do is praise God again with thankfulness and sleep as the dark is by then covering me. The dark and the light is how I see them — they are in truth negative limitations or boundaries and positive expansive compassions.
Or — just — kick the negativity out if it is intrusive into joyous living. Now is ours from God — and it is all that is real.

  3. Thank you for this…I need to be reminded everyday to let it go. 🙂

I once read to send the negative energy out into nature where it can be converted into positive energy, a bit like Co2 being converted to oxygen by trees. I liked the sound of that.

I suck suck suck at this (see how negative this is?). I CONSTANTLY have to force myself to put a smile on and quit dwelling on the bad, like that terrible waitress last night, when I should focus on the good music instead.

Wonderful post. Thank you for sharing these positive vibrations. We all could use a reminder from time to time.
