Failure

You have no failures, just learning experiences. Failure is a word that shouldn’t be used in your day-to-day life’s journey when something you tried didn’t work out. You don’t fail, you learn, or at least you should. In learning, there is always a risk of something not working out, but the risk is always worth taking. I love this quote from Marianne Williamson:

“Many of your greatest successes you thought were failures, and many of your greatest failures you thought were successes.”

When something you tried doesn’t work out, don’t feel bad about it. Instead, think about what you learned from your experience.  Life is all about learning what works and what doesn’t. There are tests all along the way to see if you are ready to achieve what you are here to do, because everyone has a purpose and a reason for being.

Many of the things you might think of as a failure are indeed  successes. A bad first marriage can result in finding the right soul mate. Struggling with parenthood with the first child can make you a wonderful parent in the long run as you search the books and your mind to be better. A business that you view as a total failure can make you a terrific business person in the future.

Don’t ever let yourself feel like a failure. So many people do this to themselves and it’s an injustice to your beautiful Spirit. You can become immobilized with fear causing you to not want to try again because you think you will just fail. This is the work of your ego running amok.

I’ve had numerous so-called failures in my life, but now I think of them as wonderful treasures that have taught me so much. Sure, It would have been great to have had only a few, or none at all, but that’s not how life works and I accept that.

Don’t dwell on what didn’t work, or what went wrong. Just pick yourself up and learn from it. Life is so much better when you feel good about yourself.

“The only real failure in life is the failure to try.” Anonymous
